What was that? I couldn't here you over the sound of sex. Honestly, I didn't get it either UNTIL I drove a manual(I am assuming you were being sarcastic, about how people only think manuals rule). Now, I only want a manual. DCTs aren't nearly as fun. Plus they are way to smooth. Let this manual Murcielago explain

Even though living for 15 years only owning cars where I've rowed my own has shown me that the manual transmission is not that big of a deal, I still have huge respect for people who buy a high-power car with a stick. I know it isn't that much more difficult but still, I feel like they are doing something impressive.

I have respect for them if they live in a city like LA or DC.

I live in a town where driving stick is fun.

Driving in LA in general makes me want to shoot myself or pull off the road and ask the first junkie I see to sell me some heroin to put me out of my misery. The only thing worse than driving in LA is driving stick in LA.

It's not really driving in LA. It's letting your transmission crawl you forward for a few seconds before stopping again.

Agreed. To have that kind of money and stay true to your automotive enthusiasm is also pretty rare. It would be so much easier to be able to manage that power with a ridiculously technology-laden gearbox, but it really isn't the same if you're a true car person.

A Z32 is one of the few cars I can afford that I'd sacrifice rowing my own for. I'd probably need to find an $800 Miata soon after, though... haha

It's great because LA traffic sucks and I live in the hills, but it's still a 4 speed auto. That part reeeealy sucks

Those 4ATs were good, but still had big ratios. The one Toyota used in the Supra had manual shifting modes, but there were still 5AT German family sedans at the time...

I can definitely understand that. Paddles would be great in a 300ZX. Apparently they have them, although I don't know about prices.
